Thanksgiving Vacation
We hope you all had a wonderful week of vacation and were provided with an abundance of opportunities to give thanks.
DELAC Enchilada Dinner to Go
Our District English Language Advisory Committee (DELAC) is hosting an enchilada drive through dinner on December 9th from 4:00-6:30. They will be fundraising to bring biweekly baile folklorico dance classes to Pacific Union as well as to begin a scholarship fund. The meal includes:
2 enchiladas (chicken or vegetarian)
Beans
Rice
Water
Pie (apple or pumpkin)
Presale tickets available through Friday, December 2. Tickets cost $15 each and are available from Ms. Sonia, Mrs. Davies-Hughes, or the office. There will also be students selling tickets before school a few days this week, so please keep an eye out for them.
Toys for Tots
The Marine Toys for Tots Program collects new, unwrapped toys during October, November, and December. The program then distributes them to less fortunate children as Christmas gifts each year. These toys make a tremendous difference in the lives of the children and families that receive them gratefully.
The toys distributed are not only viewed as a simple gift, but also brings joy, happiness, and hope to the children in need. Hope is the key, and hope is what the Marine Corps Toys for Tots program is able to give through the Toys for Tots program. A message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.

Community Sing along
We are looking forward to celebrating the winter season with our Wildcat family. This event is a time to gather and sing songs that make this time of year so special. We would love to sing songs from around the globe. Does your family have a special winter or holiday song that you could share with us? If so, please email pacificunionpto@gmail.com. We will do our best to include your song in our playlist. The deadline is December 2nd to submit the song via email. Due to time restraints and difficulty of musical selections, not all songs will be able to be included. We apologize in advance if that is the case for your song.
Canned Food Drive
The Canned Food Drive has officially begun and will go until December 8th! Each class has been provided with a box for canned food. Please consider sharing canned food if you have extra to spare. A little can go a long way.
Matilda the musical
Pacific Union School is once again going to put on a musical. All students are provided the opportunity to audition for a part. Auditions will take place on December 13 and rehearsals will begin in January. Please see this flier and encourage your child to try out!
Low income families are able to self refer for community services. There are many community agencies available to help, and as services become available we will be sharing them.

Vacaciones de Acción
Esperamos que todos hayan tenido una maravillosa semana de vacaciones y hayan tenido muchas oportunidades para dar gracias.
DELAC Enchilada Dinner to Go
Nuestro Comité Asesor Distrital de Idioma Inglés (DELAC) está organizando una cena de enchilada el 9 de diciembre de 4:00 a 6:30. Recaudará fondos para traer clases de baile folclórico cada dos semanas a Pacific Union, así como para comenzar un fondo de becas. La comida incluye:
2 enchiladas (pollo o vegetariana)
Frijoles
Arroz
de agua
(manzana o calabaza)
Boletos de preventa disponibles hasta el viernes 2 de diciembre. Los boletos cuestan $15 cada uno y están disponibles con la Sra. Sonia, la Sra. Davies-Hughes o la oficina. También habrá estudiantes vendiendo boletos antes de la escuela algunos días de esta semana, así que esté atento a ellos.
Toys for Tots
El programa Marine Toys for Tots recolecta juguetes nuevos sin envolver durante octubre, noviembre y diciembre. Luego, el programa los distribuye a los niños menos afortunados como regalos de Navidad cada año. Estos juguetes marcan una gran diferencia en la vida de los niños y las familias que los reciben con gratitud.
Los juguetes distribuidos no solo se ven como un simple regalo, sino que también brindan alegría, felicidad y esperanza a los niños necesitados. La esperanza es la clave, y la esperanza es lo que el programa Toys for Tots del Marine Corps puede brindar a través del programa Toys for Tots. Un mensaje de esperanza para los jóvenes menos afortunados que los ayudará a convertirse en ciudadanos patriotas, productivos y responsables.

Comunidad Canta
Esperamos celebrar la temporada de invierno con nuestra familia Wildcat. Este evento es un momento para reunirse y cantar canciones que hacen que esta época del año sea tan especial. Nos encantaría cantar canciones de todo el mundo. ¿Tiene su familia una canción especial de invierno o festividad que podría compartir con nosotros? Si es así, envíe un correo electrónico a pacificunionpto@gmail.com. Haremos todo lo posible para incluir tu canción en nuestra lista de reproducción. La fecha límite es el 2 de diciembre para enviar la canción por correo electrónico. Debido a las limitaciones de tiempo y la dificultad de las selecciones musicales, no se podrán incluir todas las canciones. Nos disculpamos de antemano si ese es el caso de su canción.
Colecta de alimentos enlatados
¡La colecta de alimentos enlatados ha comenzado oficialmente y durará hasta el 8 de diciembre! A cada clase se le ha proporcionado una caja para alimentos enlatados. Considere compartir alimentos enlatados si tiene más de sobra. Un pequeño puede ir muy lejos.
Matilda el musical
